These websites give additional information on several of the modalities that I use in my practice. Also included are websites that may contain other very beneficial information. Some of the sites I recommend for information, sell products. That is often inevitable. However, it is not my intention to send you to sites to purchase something. If, after reading researched and documented information, you should decide to purchase a product they offer, it is solely your decision. I am not in favor of practitioners selling what they recommend (which is why I do not do so),however, some practitioners' sites evolve that way. It does not detract from their legitimacy; in most instances, it has evolved as such due to client need. I try to search out and recommend unbiased information. Please keep that in mind.
I am in the process of adding a few more websites that primarily sell stuff. There is some information on them, but, they exist to sell. The reason I am doing this is because they happen to sell things that I have looked for personally. I have no financial interest in their website or companies. In fact, there may be other places to buy the same articles. However, they were able to supply what I needed at a price I could afford.
- Body Fields USA (QRS)
- This is one of the sole importers of the QRS. It has been and continues to be instrumental in protocols, therapies, and peer-reviewed educational standards.
- Bioelectromagnetics - 2003
- Another good source of information concerning bioelectromagnetics and the adverse effects of electromagnetic fields
- Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)
- This is founder Gary Craig's official EFT website, describing the technique in detail. It contains a phenominal amount of free information, testimonials and specific techniques. You can also download his EFT manual and link to several other EFT practitioners. It will undoubtedly answer any question you could possibly have.
- Eat Right 4 Your Type
- This website not only contains all information concerning blood type nutrition, but is a source of documented research by Peter D'Adamo. Should you want to purchase any of his blood-type specific products, this has everything. It is also a source of information concerning secretor/non-secretor typing. There is a section where you can "Ask Dr. D'Adamo" and also a forum for any questions you may have that aren't answered.
- Herb Research Foundation
- This is the one of the best websites concering herbal information. It is science-based information on the health benefits of herbal medicine.
- Homeopathic Educational Services
- Extensive information concerning homeopathic medicine. It gives background, research, and remedies.
- PubMed
- Search the National Library of Medicine for research back to the 1950's. Very good for cross-referencing.
- Clayton College of Natural Health
- This is the college that I received my bachelor's degree from and am currently persuing my master's degree. The courses are all completed by "distance learning" online. They have many degree programs to choose from and the course work is very, very good. I researched schools for over a year, and Clayton had the best curriculum.
- Coalition for Natural Health
- This website contains the legislative status of many natural health issues. It also contains very good information explaining holistic/naturopathic practitioners.
- American Association of Nutritional Consultants
- The AANC is a certifying organization representing nutritional consultants.
- American Association of Drugless Practitioners
- The AADP is another certifying organization which represents holistic health practitioners.
- The American Holistic Health Association
- A very insightful website with resource and referral lists and many self-help articles. It offers a wealth of knowledge concerning holistic health.
- Independent Skin Care Research and Reviews
- This is a very good site for information on skin care, giving the pros and cons of advertised anti-aging creams and "wrinkle removers". Anyone interested in taking care of their skin will enjoy reading through all of the articles.
- 1st Chinese Herbs
- This is a very good site if you are at all interested in Chinese Herbs. It is very informative and a good source of herbs. I've been very pleased with their service.
- SixWise.Com
- I've primarily gotten non-toxic mats and cleaning supplies from this site. The micro fiber cloths are absolutely amazing. They clean so well. I use them with a dilute solution of lechyna meera (a Siberian lichen that is anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and anti-viral)and can virtually disinfect and clean everything. I love it. The rest of the site looks fine, but, they don't give a total list of ingredients in their products. I won't buy anything unless I know exactly what is in it.
- Redflags Daily
- One of the best - if not THE best - online sources of information concerning alternative medicine. This website will help you to separate fact from fiction, truth from untruth, biased from unbiased. It is a members-only website, but, there are many good articles available to the general public. I have, on occassion, written articles and commentaries for them. You can rest assured that information you read on this website has been thoroughly researched and documented. The website started many years ago by Nicholas Regush, who was a very prominent health investigative reporter. He realized that people needed to know and have access to the information he had. His website, at that time was small and free. Years later, with thousands and thousands of people searching it, and his desire to provide even more information, the website evolved to a members-only site in order to defray the costs of hosting such a huge site. It is well worth the membership. Their goal is much the same as mine.... people need to know what is available to them holistically, and they need to know what is legitimate information and what is hype.
